How to "Home Office" like a pro!
I’ve been working from home for longer than I can remember and it hasn’t been easy (cue farming issues, toddlers and school holidays)! But I have learn’t a lot of ways to cope over the years. Here’s just a few of them.
Surround yourself with reliable people
You cannot do this alone! If you have kids, call in help. If you need help with your bookkeeping, call in help. If your house is a mess, call in help. Your time is better spent doing what you do well and paying someone to do what they do well. It will save you time and stress in the long run, believe me.
“Go” to work..
I know you’re going to laugh but it works! Dress for work. Take your handbag and your lunch if you need to feel like you are going to work. Don’t hang out the washing, don’t feed the cat. You are at work and you are there to work, after work you can feed the cat!
Let colleagues know when you’re available
Working from home makes your time more flexible so you can work around those crunch times in your house. Just make sure your colleagues are aware of when you are available and when you aren’t. This eliminates any misunderstandings.
If you are struggling to work from home and need help with any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact us, we are here to help.
