Kathy Kelliher is the owner of Office Management Solutions Ltd and has been running this successful business for over 15 years.  Kathy grew up in Te Anau and went to Fiordland College.  Economics and Accounting were her favourite subjects and when she was introduced to computers, she found she had a real talent in working with Accounting Software.  A natural progression was The National Certificate in Business Computing at Otago Polytechnic where she learnt many skills in working with computers in business.  From work experience in Te Anau while studying, her first job began working alongside the company accountant and learning from her expertise.  A job in Central Otago opened the door for many possibilities, including travel to Ireland.  Running her own business in Ireland gave Kathy the confidence to come back to Alexandra and start up her own business OMS and she hasn’t looked back.  Kathy has two daughters and lives and works from home in Springvale, Alexandra.

Fiona Kissel has been with Office Management Solutions since 2006, providing  accounts administration and payroll services.  Much of the work these days is in the cloud on various internet based accounting software programmes which means that more is done from the OMS office, but Fiona still travels to clients own offices on a regular basis and for other clients, just visits for troubleshooting or upgrading and training in software.  You will see her out and about in the yellow OMS car.  Fiona started work in Christchurch as a survey draughtsperson and moved to Alexandra with her husband Bruce in 1995 for a change of lifestyle. In Alexandra, Fiona initially secured work with local survey firms before changing to legal work at Bodkins. While working as a secretary at Bodkins Fiona completed her Legal Executive Certificate through the Open Polytechnic.  Following on from Bodkins Fiona worked for a local mortgage broker as the office manager and added payroll, bookkeeping and HR work to her office skills. The opportunity to work for OMS out and about looking after clients was an offer too good to refuse and Fiona loves the variety of work that comes with a range of clients in different types of businesses. 

Out of work Fiona teaches yoga classes a couple of evenings a week and enjoys good walks in the fabulous Central Otago environs.

Maxine McDowall joined the Office Management Solutions team in 2017 as the Computer Tutor which gives her the opportunity to get out and about meeting clients and passing on her computer knowledge. Maxine is also in the office four days a week providing bookkeeping services and processing payrolls for several local businesses.

Maxine was born and bred in Dunedin, and after working as an administrator for many years went on to study Computing at The Otago Polytechnic which led to her becoming a Computer Trainer for 9 years. Maxine then spent the next 5 years as a Personal Assistant before her husband David secured a job in Central Otago in 2016 which is when they made the move to sunny Springvale, Alexandra where they live with their teenage children; daughter Emily and son Ryan. 

In her free time, Maxine enjoys renovating the family home, outdoor activities and is a member of the Central Otago Cake Club.
